Peter Kent grew up in Nanaimo where he and his mother ran a boarding house for Malaspina College students. He worked a variety of jobs; sawmills, salmon fishing, pulp mill, paving crew and stereo electronics salesperson in Nanaimo and Victoria.
In 1984 he went to Los Angeles and did 14 films as the stunt double for Arnold Schwarzenegger. In 2009, he was inducted into the “Hollywood Stuntman’s Hall of Fame ” for his work. He also won a Gemini Award for “Excellence in TV” for creating his series StuntDawgs on Discovery Channel.
His people skills, vision and character led him to being elected to Squamish city council for the term 2014-2018.
Peter’s love of Island life has never left him, and he now resides in Qualicum beach.
