RE/MAX of Nanaimo places great importance on Corporate Social Responsibility and involvement in community service initiatives. Our primary charity of choice is the Children’s Miracle Network™. The CMN benefits BC Children’s Hospital™, which provides care to almost 800 visitors every day. Many of us in Nanaimo have had BC Children’s Hospital™ touch our lives over the years and are so thankful this wonderful facility is there when we need it.

CMN

There are several ways in which we fundraise for this remarkable charity. The first is on an individual, and completely voluntary, agent level. Each and every one of our REALTORS® is committed to donating a portion of their earnings each year to the Children’s Miracle Network™. We are a dedicated Miracle office and Miracle city, ranking amongst the top offices in Western Canada for the highest donations. This directly benefits our local children, because the funds donated go directly to BC Children’s Hospital™. Caring for the needs of sick kids are our Corporate Social Responsibility.

Month of Miracles

Another fundraiser we hold annually for the Children’s Miracle Network is the Month of Miracles, which is held every August. During this time RE/MAX recognizes our clients for helping us in our fundraising for the CMN, as with all our charity initiatives for the Children’s Hospital™. We also hold an annual Client Appreciation Day, where donations are gratefully received for Children’s Miracle Network™. So far RE/MAX of Nanaimo agents have raised over $500,000 for the kids!

Accessible Trick or Treating

Accessible Trick or Treating is a national joint program with Home Depot and RE/MAX Canada aimed at helping children with accessibility and mobility issues to join in on the fun on Halloween night. Accessible Trick or Treating

Home owners can participate in this initiative by displaying an Accessible Trick or Treating sign to show their home is accessible to kids with mobility limitations on Halloween night. For best results, we suggest they display the sign for a week or two leading up to Halloween to increase awareness in their neighbourhood.

Community

Event Tent

Besides numerous events held throughout the year to benefit other local charities, RE/MAX of Nanaimo also provides the use of an outdoor event tent for other community organizations. This popular service is well used by many of Nanaimo’s service groups, such as the Serauxmen Club, Wellington Junior Soccer, the SPCA, the Silly Boat Regatta, Nanaimo Parks Recreation and Culture, the Cystic Fibrosis Society and many others. Contact our office to book the event tent by calling 250-751-1223.

Annual Customer Appreciation

At our Annual Customer Appreciation Day, The RE/MAX of Nanaimo property turns into a circus with music, rides, climbing walls, food, live music and much more. This is where our REALTORS® and owners come out to host a day of giving back to the community that gives so much.

Independent REALTOR® Events

Various independent realtor events include fundraising through cycling rides, Secret Santa, Cops for Cancer, and SPCA.
